Press conference announcing Houston’s first annual Green Office Challenge – partnership between the City of Houston and ICLEI – Governments for Sustainability. The year-long initiative engages office building owners and tenants to improve the environmental performance of their operations by reducing energy use, waste and water use. The Houston-wide challenge will bring local sustainability experts together with local businesses and properties to learn and engage in both introductory and high performance green building practices through free workshops and training. Participants’ milestones and successes will be measured throughout the year of the challenge culminating in recognition and awards for progresses made. |
